Rainbow Week: RED

The third day of Rainbow Week brought lots of red to Room 4.

Today we studied more about the colors, putting our knowledge to identifying "red" and coloring a variety of pictures in red. This morning we read Little Red Riding Hood. We also completed a Red Hunt. It even surprised me how much red the children were able to locate in the classroom (and on the playground.)

Today the students also completed a Writing Assessment. This assessment requires students to write a narrative about something that has happened to them in their life. They were urged to write as many letters/words as they knew, but they were also encouraged to illustrated their stories. As students finished their work, they narrated to me, so that I could translate onto the back.

Red day has to be my favorite so far. Mainly because the video had the best soundtrack!
